About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory Aerospace Engineer / Computational Aeromechanics Teams Lead (NH-0861-03) to work at 96 Test Wing, Air Force SEEK EAGLE Office (96 SK) at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the team lead/branch chief in the Air Force SEEK EAGLE Office (AFSEO) for the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methodology and analysis. Initiates, manages and conducts continuing studies and projects involving the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles and processes using CFD methodology to support weapon systems and aerospace vehicle acquisition and operation. Leads AFSEO work related to CFD modeling, simulation and analysis application (MS&A) in support of the AFSEO aircraft/store certification projects.

Typical 2026 salary range: $89,508 - $138,370 per year (includes locality)
Travel Requirements: Approximately 31 days per year.

Desired Skills:
- 2 years experience with modeling/simulation software tools and workflows relevant to CFD work.
- Written/oral Communication Skills: Experience writing technical papers/giving technical presentations, particularly to leadership
- Strong Interpersonal skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and guide personnel
Major Duties:
- Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinates. Manages personnel resources to meet cost and schedule objectives
- Coordinates closely with organization's engineering disciplines to address/deliver required CFD results
- Manages allocations of High Power Computing (HPC) Resources to support CFD analyses
- Plans and organizes annual CFD Workshops to foster collaboration within the greater test enterprise
- Exercises supervisory duties/functions to include annual appraisals
- Provides weekly activity reports to leadership
- Actively participates in organizational process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period

- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- A bachelors degree (minimum) from an ABET accredited institution in Aerospace Engineering
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- This position is an Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) position requiring Level/Tier 2 (Practitioner) Non-Critical Certification in Engineering and Technical Management. Employee is expected to meet Continuing Acquisition Education requirements..
