About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic (Aircraft Electrician) (WG-2610-13) to work at the 41th Test Wing, 412th Maintenance Group, 412th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 461st Aircraft Maintenance Unit (412 AMXS/MXAD) at Edwards AFB.
The organizational goals or objectives of this position are: The Mission of the AMU is to aggressively support the flight test and development Support/test sortie generation requirements of the AFTC flight test and developmental programs and the USAF TPS, and to provide premiere Logistics test for the worlds most respected Air Force.

Typical 2026 salary range: $54.58 - 63.67 per hour (includes Locality)

Desired Skills:
-Any experience with fiber optic testing and repair is highly desired.
-Flight Test experience recommended.
-Possess advanced skills with repair, inspection, troubleshooting, and diagnosing aircraft avionics systems, aircraft environmental systems and complex aircraft electrical systems.
Major Duties:
-Functionally tests, inspects and troubleshoots a variety of specially Instrumented, test, pre-production, standard and modified high performance, test modified, jet fighter/trainer/bomber aircraft integrated avionics and electrical systems, aircraft environmental systems, sub-systems, and components for serviceability, proper installation, and operation, using appropriate test equipment, special tools, technical data, diagrams, blueprints etc.
-Removes, inspects, repairs, overhauls, bench checks, reinstalls or replaces standard and test modified aircraft system components.
-Maintains aircraft and maintenance records. Including all standard records and records of modifications performed on assigned aircraft, and equipment, following established procedures, technical data, and directives.
-Performs ground handling and servicing of assigned aircraft, including the preflight, postflight, launch, recovery, refueling, towing, washing, lubricating, jacking, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period

- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Must be able to pass a preemployment physical
- Knowledge of basic principles of the classified titled or related field.
- Skill in communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing.
- Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions.
