About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time General Engineer NH-0801-03 to work at the 412th Test Wing, 412th Electronic Warfare Group, 445th Test Squadron Operating Location (445 TS/EWJE-OL) at Nellis Air Force Base.
The primary purpose is to apply engineering expertise to standup, sustainment, and capability growth to the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) digital battlespace to support Operational and Developmental Test (OT & DT), High-End Advanced Tactics, Training, and Test (HEAT3), and Verification and Validation (V&V) testing at the Digital Test and Training Range-Nellis (DTTR-N). The DTTR-N consists of distributed computer networks, cockpit visual displays, crewstations and controls, mechanical and electrical interfaces, and operational flight program software. The position requires the ability to lead a test & engineering team responsible for planning, executing, analyzing, and reporting on test & training programs using linked, high-fidelity, human-in-the-loop 4th and 5th Gen fighter simulators, operating within the JSE digital battlespace.

Typical 2026 salary range: $91,427 - $141,337 per year (includes Locality)
Travel Requirements: Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY) by military or commercial aircraft approximately 60 days per year.

Desired Skills:
1) 3 years of data analysis and coding experience desired.
2) 3 years of flight test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting experience desired.
3) 2 years of system engineering experience desired.
Major Duties:
- Ensure an integrated approach to modeling and simulation activities applied to test & high end training.
- Participate in and ensure integrated test program support for design reviews, Test Plan Working Groups (TPWG), and other test planning activities.
- Lead the contractor workforce in data collection, reduction, analysis & reporting of simulation tests and training events.
- Develop, prioritize and report on organization performance goals and objectives.
- As a project leader and technical expert, project performance is evaluated and tracked.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship

- Obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
- This is a drug testing designated position.
- A professional engineering degree at the bachelor’s level from an ABET accredited institution. (Check OPM Qualifications Standard and Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR))
- Obtain & maintain DAU Level II for Test and Evaluation.
- Knowledge of concepts, principles, and techniques across multiple interrelated and integrated technical and test engineering disciplines applied to human-in-the-loop simulators of advanced aircraft weapon systems (4th,5th gen and beyond).
- Technical knowledge of combat aircraft avionics, armament, electronic warfare systems, and related subsystems, including mission planning systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of combat air vehicles, EO/IR/RF weapons & sensors, EW, & signature management with respect to operational flight test planning, execution, and data reduction.
