About the Role:

The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory Mission Facility Specialist (NH-0301-03) to work at the 412th Maintenance Group (412MXG/MXOL) at Edwards AFB, California

Represents 412th Maintenance Group (412 MXG) in a wide range of matters concerning the entire spectrum of maintenance facilities, logistical site support infrastructure and test site support management, including flight line and ramp space. Also responsible for providing management oversight of 412th Test Wing (412 TW) owned facilities not occupied by test and evaluation (T&E) customers (in lieu of the 412 TW).

Typical 2026 salary range: $104,349 - $161,313 per year (includes Locality)

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% Travel possible

Major Duties:

- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.

- Formulates, influences, and participates in the development of maintenance policies and practices necessary to carry out the organization's mission with respect to facility requirements definition, planning, acquisition, allocation and maintenance.

- Provides management advice, oversight, and site support technical expertise to senior management of non-T&E organizations occupying 412 TW hangars, office complexes, and related facilities.

- Develops and prioritizes overall site support goals, programs and objectives. Establishes operating procedures, and sets priorities and deadlines in this capacity.

- Conducts research and provides overall resource planning and budget estimates for short and long term projects planned to expand, renovate, or upgrade technology/capability of 412 TW test facilities and NRPIE.

- Acts for the 412 MXG/CC in the review of, and coordination on, critical design reviews for Major Construction Projects, MILCON projects, or other Congressional or program funded projects.

- Prepares and presents briefings to 412 MXG, 412 TW, and AFTC staff organizations, as well as other interested parties on the status of, or requirements for, site support programs and projects currently under the incumbent's management authority.

- Supervises the activities of 412 MXG's Environmental Protection Program Coordinator who serves as the single point of contact for 412 MXG in the conduct of environmental business with base, county, state and federal regulatory agencies regarding environmental management compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Obtain & maintain Security clearance (if applicable)

  • Requires comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the mission and organization of the AFTC, and expert knowledge of TW work processes, facilities and infrastructure, and how changing external/internal environmental factors influence planning and resource requirements.
  • Expert comprehensive knowledge of AF manuals, instructions, practices, policies, OSHA, and procedures for acquisition and management of facilities.
  • Broad knowledge of current Federal, State, and AF policies concerning environmental protection and hazardous materials management, waste storage and disposal to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of risk management practices to mitigate cost, technical and schedules risks during facilities renovation, modification or acquisition is critical.
