About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Test Architect NH-0801-04 or NH-1101-04 to work at the 96th Test Wing, 96th Operations Group, at Eglin Air Force Base.
The Test Architect will provide advice and counsel to the 96 OG Technical Director and ensure collaboration across all Squadrons on the holistic planning, development, and sustainment of OG facilities and test capabilities. The Test Architect will also work with outside agencies to collaborate on best practices and capabilities across all MRTFB ranges and help secure funding where necessary for necessary upgrades to facilities and test equipment.

Typical 2026 salary range $125,776 - $192,331per year (includes Locality)

Temp/Term Statement:
This position may be filled as a temporary promotion with a period of 1 year, at the end of which it may be converted to permanent if the incumbent successfully meets the job requirements in the first year.
Desired Skills:
- 8-10+ years of developmental and/or test experience
- Understanding of the FinPlan and POM processes
- Understanding of the I&M Process
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and outside agencies.
Major Duties:
- Delivers presentations on program status to leadership, including, accomplishments, solutions, and future requirements for support
- Works to develop long term strategies for improvement and modernization across the OG to ensure we are able to meet the test needs of our current and future customers. Acts as I&M Project advisor for OG.
- Works with squadrons and CARA capability owners to ensure POM inputs are accurate across the group
- CARA advisor representing the interests of the OG Squadrons in CARA Working Group meetings
- TRMC liaison, working to secure funding through TRMC funding streams such as CTEIP and the QRTC calls. Attends applicable Range Commanders Council working group meetings as representative of 96th Operations Group.
- Represent the OG in Range Group Gate Reviews to ensure modernization programs meet customer and program requirements
- Act as a back up for OG Technical Director for routine meetings, engagements, and tasks as necessary.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship

- Knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
- Knowledge of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices.
- Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines.
- Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
