About the Role:
This position is for the Business Intelligence (BI) Manager within the 96th Range Group at Eglin AFB. The incumbent serves as the group’s technical SME directly responsible for the business intelligence strategy of the 96 Range Group. This position will directly support the 96 Range Group’s technical director’s efforts to implement modern digital best practices across the 96 Range Group in coordination with the 96 TW Chief Data Analytics Office. This role is central to the Air Force Test Center’s (AFTC) strategy for accelerating the delivery of war-winning systems and offers an opportunity to the incumbent to directly impact the Range Groups ability to meet those strategic objectives.
96TH TEST WING MISSION: We test and evaluate state-of-the-art weapon systems and cyberspace capabilities, provide quality installation and mission support, and serve as responsible stewards of our resources to deliver war-winning capabilities.
PURPOSE: Serve as an Acquisition Program/Project Manager, directing or supporting the activities of an DoD funded acquisition effort.

Typical 2026 salary range: $89,508 to $138,370 Per Year (includes Locality)
Travel Requirements: Work may occasionally require travel TDY away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

Desired Skills:
1. Ability to ingest data from legacy storage architectures, perform appropriate analysis, and provide trend information to leadership to support studies or analyses of 96 RN range capabilities.
2. Ability to develop models, algorithms, and applications to develop new solutions to problems, formulate plans, and develop COAs for leadership decision making.
3. Provide technical guidance and advisory support to all data/analytics issues and represent the 96 RN for the same to higher levels of leadership.
Major Duties:
• Management of BI Tools and Infrastructure: Oversees the entire business intelligence process, from data collection to visualization. This includes selecting the right BI tools and managing the underlying data infrastructure, such as data warehouses and data marts. Responsible for data governance, ensuring data quality, accuracy, timeliness, and security, and automating data workflows to increase efficiency.
• Data Analytics Team Lead: Responsible for translating business objectives into technical requirements and a clear project road map for the contract team. Define the scope of work, set project milestones, and provide technical guidance on BI architecture and development best practices. Focus is on directing execution of the efforts to ensure the technical solution aligns with strategic goals. Responsible for ensuring that critical knowledge from the contract team is documented and transferred to the organization, preventing knowledge silos and ensuring long-term maintainability of the BI solutions. • Stakeholder Collaboration and Reporting: Acts as the liaison between technical teams, 96 Range Group stakeholders, and the 96 TW CDAO. The BI Manager collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand their challenges, and deliver relevant insights in the implementation and sustainment of BI solutions.
• BI Leadership: In coordination with the 96 RN Technical Director and the 96TW CDAO, the BI Manager develops and executes the organization's overall business intelligence strategy. This involves understanding business goals and defining how data, analytics, and reporting can support them. Creation of a roadmap for BI initiatives and prioritize projects based on business needs.

- Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, evaluate options; to adjust work operations within the duties of the position to meet program requirements and organizational objectives as needed.
