About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory General Engineer (NH-0801-03) to work at the 96th Test Wing, 96th Operations Group, Detachment 1, 413th Flight Test Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base.
In this position you will serve as the first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the organization.

Typical 2025 salary range: $76,463-$118,204 (includes Locality)

Desired Skills:
- 4 plus years of flight test experience preferred
- 2 plus years of experience balancing OEM, Program Office, and Test Entity
requirements, including development and management of test exit criteria
- 2 plus years of experience supervising an aircraft test instrumentation section preferred
Major Duties:
- Exercises supervisory authority over assigned personnel, directing work, setting priorities, evaluating performance, and ensuring timely accomplishment of mission requirements.
- Plans, organizes, and oversees unit operations, integrating organization and engineering objectives to support short- and long-term mission goals.
- Assigns, coordinates, and balances workload to optimize personnel utilization, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
-Provides leadership in personnel management, including recruitment, development, training, performance feedback, discipline, and employee recognition.
- Serves as a senior technical authority, providing expert advice, guidance, and problem resolution on complex engineering, operational, or programmatic issues.
- Develops and implements policies, procedures, and process improvements to enhance mission effectiveness, quality, safety, and resource stewardship.
- Leads analysis, evaluation, and resolution of complex technical, operational, and organizational problems impacting mission execution.
- Oversees development, testing, evaluation, and sustainment of systems, programs, or processes, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and life cycle requirements.
- Coordinates and represents the organization with internal and external stakeholders, including installation, interagency, contractor, and customer organizations.
- Prepares and delivers briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership, supporting informed decision-making and strategic planning..
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & Maintain a Top Secret Security clearance
- This is a designated Drug Test Position
- Bachelor's level degree in engineering is highly desired
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment approximately 10 days per year
- Applies advanced engineering and management principles to resolve complex, non-routine problems and execute high-impact programs across system development, production, and sustainment
- Directs acquisition activities using DoD and Air Force PPBE, financial, and policy expertise to evaluate emerging technologies, allocate resources, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Leads cross-functional teams and stakeholders through clear communication, consensus-building, and conflict resolution while enforcing safety, security, personnel, and EEO requirements
