About the Role:
Full Time / 9W105/ 5705-WG-06 / Tractor Operator (Motor Vehicle Operator) 96 TW / 96 CEG / 796CES / CEORM / EGLIN
Primary purpose of this position, Operates equipment, graders, tractors, front-end loaders, etc. performing functions as cutting, moving, digging, grading, rolling earth, sand, stone, and other material. This position requires operators to operate tractor and trailer combinations to transport heavy equipment across state and county roads. A current/valid CLASS ‘A’ CDL license is required by law to operate combination vehicles over 26,000 lbs with a towed unit that weighs over 10,000 lbs “gross vehicle weight” for the position.

Typical 2025 salary range: $51,292.80- $59,883.20 per year (includes Locality)

Desired Skills:
-Looking for a team player who works well with others, is self-motivated, and is willing to learn.
-A basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation is highly desired.
-A current/valid class A CDL required.
Major Duties:
-Operates equipment, Farm tractors, front-end loaders, dump trucks, tractor trailers etc.
-Performs functions as bush hogging, moving, digging, grading, rolling earth, sand, stone, and other material.
-Flight line maintenance to include daily inspections and vegetation management.
-This position requires operators to operate tractor and trailer combinations to transport heavy equipment across state and county roads.
-Uses and assures proper fit of required safety equipment and clothing.
-A current/valid CLASS ‘A’ CDL license is required by law to operate combination vehicles over 26,000 lbs with a towed unit that weighs over 10,000 lbs “gross vehicle weight” for the position.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Designated drug testing position
- Must be able to pass a preemployment physical
- Overtime maybe required
- Class A CDL
