About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory General Engineer, Squadron Director (NH-0801-04) to work at the 412 Test Wing, 412 Test Engineering Group, 775th Test Squadron (775th TS/ENV) at Edwards Air Force Base.
The Squadrons within the 412th Test Engineering Group (412 TENG) provide engineering and business support to the Test and Evaluation (T&E) mission of the Air Force Test Center (AFTC) and the 412 Test Wing (TW). This includes the infrastructure to administer the respective Squadrons. The organization's primary purpose is to provide competent T &E expertise to 412 TW organizations responsible for the planning and conduct of flight and ground test of air vehicles including modeling and simulation, development of new test methods and support hardware/software, analysis tools/techniques, and the resources to plan, provision, conduct and evaluate & report on the various test projects.

Typical 2026 salary range: $146,632 - $197,200 per year (includes Locality)
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible

Desired Skills:
• 10+ years in flight testing of advanced military weapons systems to include planning, execution and reporting highly desired
• 7+ years experience in a variety of leadership opportunities highly desired
• 4+ years as a first level supervisor highly desired
• 5+ years technical experience in avionics, sensors, and/or weapons integration testing
Major Duties:
• Defines, integrates, and implements strategic direction for vital programs with long-term impact.
• Initiates actions to resolve major organizational issues. Works with customers at management levels to resolve problems affecting programs/projects (e.g., determining priorities and resolving conflicts among customer requirements).
• Formulates organizational strategies, tactics, and budget/action plans to acquire and allocate resources. Optimizes, controls, and manages all resources across projects/programs.
• Develops and integrates innovative approaches to attain goals and minimize expenditures. Creates novel and innovative business methods and processes.
• Works with customers to develop a mutual understanding of their requirements. Actively promotes rapport with customers.
• Establishes priorities that reflect mission and organizational needs. Ensures work is timely, efficient, and of acceptable quality, meeting project/program objectives.
• Presents organizational briefings to convey strategic vision or organizational policies. Prepares, reviews, and approves major reports or policies for internal and external distribution.
• Leads/guides workforce in achieving organizational goals. Ensures a cooperative teamwork environment.
• Applies expert knowledge of advanced concepts, principles, and techniques across multiple interrelated and integrated technical and test engineering disciplines.

• Expert knowledge of advanced concepts, principles, and techniques across multiple interrelated and integrated technical and test engineering disciplines.
• Expert knowledge of combat air vehicle systems and related systems or test support operations and infrastructure.
• Expert knowledge of flight and laboratory air vehicle/missile test conduct, coordination and supervision, data analysis/evaluation and applicable flight test truth sources, modeling and simulation, technical report preparation, and administrative aspects of flight test programs.
• Strong ability to plan and organize work, coordinate between various electronic/aerospace/mechanical engineering and test disciplines, and coordinate with other Air Force, DOD, and other domestic and foreign government agencies.
