About the Role:

The Air Force Test Center is looking for a full-time, Management Analyst, NH-0343-03 to work in the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), in the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), Headquarters AFTC Personnel Directorate, Workforce Development Division (AFTC/DPD), Personnel Directorate at either Edwards AFB, California, Eglin AFB, Florida or Arnold AFB, Tennessee.

 

In this position you will serve as the AFTC authority and advisor to senior leadership on all force development programs pertaining to military officers and civilian matters within the Center and installations (Arnold, Eglin and Edwards AFBs).

Location: May be located at one of the following AFTC locations Edwards AFB, CA; Eglin AFB, FL; Arnold AFB, TN

Typical 2025 salary range: $103,316 - $159,716 (Edwards AFB, Caper year (includes locality) $88,621 - &137,000 (Arnold AFB, Tn or Eglin AFB, Fl)

 

Travel Requirements: Approximately 10 days per year

Areas of Consideration (AOC): Service – wide (US Air Force)

Desired Skills:

 

 • 2 years of classification experience on AF military personnel such as AFSCs, prefixes, special identifiers, competitive categories, etc.

• 2 years of experience with HR systems such as MilPDS, BLDSM, CHRIS, and MS 365 apps

 

Major Duties:

• Provides prioritized AFTC-wide acquisition and rated officer assignment requisitions to HHQs in collaboration with AFTC Commander and Deputy Commander

• Advises, prepares and presents briefings/products to senior leaders, mangers and commanders on military officer/civilian resource management, requirements and career development

• Performs Senior Leader Management Office duties and responsibilities in collaboration with AFMC Senior Leader Management Office

• Manages AFMC senior officer development programs for AFTC

• Manages AFMC enlisted developmental programs for AFTC

• Advises and guides AFTC leaders on Civilian Development processes, policy and requirements

• Manages and provides oversight on Mentoring Programs involving the Total Force

• Develop policies, guidance, instructions and procedures for use by senior officers, managers and staff

• Researches and determines or recommends appropriate courses of actions of interpretation of issues that impact the command, center or organization

• Evaluates reports by analyzing and performing appropriate research and prepares detailed responses for Division Chief or Director

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

 • U.S. Citizenship

 • Obtain & maintain Security clearance

 • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 10 days per year.

 • Comprehensive knowledge of military senior officer management civilian force development program operation, directives and procedures provide definitive input on proposal legislative and regulatory changes.

 • Knowledge of the principles and practices of military officer/civilian management and organizations principles and practices pertaining to various force development initiatives to develop and implement a solution to significant concerns and issues.

 • Knowledge or analytical and evaluative methods and techniques and skill in conducting research and studies of numerous sources.

 • Ability to gather facts and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to accurately assess information: summarize results and make recommendation to accomplish long-range strategic military officer/civilian force development planning.
