About the Role:

The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, Deputy Director (NH-0346-04) to work at the 96th Logistics Readiness Squadron, LRS/DD at Eglin, AFB, Florida.

 

We test and evaluate state-of-the-art weapon systems, provide quality installation and mission support, and serve as responsible stewards of our resources to deliver war-winning capabilities. Position contributes up to the mid-level range of the duties/responsibilities of the NH-IV Factors (Job Achievement and/or Innovation, Mission Support, Communication and/or Teamwork).

Location: Eglin AFB, Florida

Typical 2025 salary range: $ 124,531  to $ 190,424 per year (includes locality)

Travel Requirements: No travel

Major Duties:

  • Supervises personnel and provides advice/assistance to the commander on business processes and performance/efficiency of the squadron. In the event of unforeseen/scheduled absence of the Commander, the Deputy Director will assume duties and responsibilities to provide all facets of logistics in support of TW mission objectives.
  • As senior technical advisor, on logistics readiness, aerospace expeditionary forces, and contract management issues, perform/leads studies and provides advice/assistance/policies and procedures on development and implementation of readiness mission capabilities associated with cargo and passenger movement, supply chain management, equipment and vehicles, vehicle maintenance, warehousing, deployment/reception and deliberate planning and operations, fuels operations, quality assurance, plans/programs/resource management.
  • Assists in the direction/leadership of broad studies or provides advice to key group officials and/or subordinates on cargo and passenger movement, supply chain management, vehicles, deployment planning and operations, fuel operations that impact agile combat support mission accomplishments.
  • Represents the installation for group/squadron logistics readiness issues at higher management-level meetings within the organization with installation, center, MAJCOM, and other agencies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Obtain & maintain Security clearance
  • This is a designated Drug Testing Position
  • Knowledge of the laws, regulations, principles, and practices of cargo and passenger movement, air terminal operations, supply chain management, equipment and vehicles management, deployment planning and operations, fuels operations and cryogenics, and logistics plans under peacetime and wartime conditions to develop policies and procedures for a Squadron, Group, and FSR (Full Spectrum Readiness).
  • Skill in analyzing issues and formulating solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and supervise, mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff on an organization through subordinate supervisors.
