About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Electronics Engineer (NH-0855-03) to work at the 96 Test Wing in 96th Communications Squadron, 96 CS/SCX at Eglin Air Force Base, CA.
In this position you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing for efficient joint use of the electromagnetic spectrum through operational, engineering, and administrative procedures, enabling electronic systems to perform their functions in the intended environment without causing or suffering interference.

Typical 2025 salary range: $88,621 - $137,000 per year (includes locality)
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible

Desired Skills:

Major Duties:
- Performs electronic and electromagnetic engineering duties to implement, revise, and support all frequency utilization requirements initiated by AAC activities through the completion/submission of DD Forms 1494s in compliance with the NTIA Manual.
- Perform studies for a broad range of frequency issues that require incumbent to understand, plan, and conduct work in unexplored areas where there is little or no theory to guide experimentation.
- Serve as the electronics engineer advisor to the Installation Spectrum Manager (ISM) on spectral issues pertaining to the development of Radio Frequency Authorizations (RF As) for new and existing equipment utilized on the ETTC and surrounding military installations as they affect the ETTC.
- Reviews local regulations and procedures for effective use and conservation of RF spectrum. Works with tile ISM and GAFC to collect data, examine records, and assist with plan of action to resolve the problem if frequency conflict or interference occurs.
- Stays abreast of policy and recommends strategics, practices, and operational philosophies to meet range requirement and government policies.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Top Secret security clearance
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineer is required.
- Knowledge of a wide range of telecommunications theories, concepts, principles, and practices, procedures, policies, standards, operational and performance characteristics of telecommunications to develop procedures/policies/practices for local use.
- Knowledge of performance characteristics of telecommunications equipment, systems, services, and transmission media to evaluate devices, proposals, and approaches affecting RF allocations/operations.
- Knowledge of Communication Security (COMSEC) and Information Security Protection of classified systems and materials.
- Professional knowledge of electrical/electronics advances concepts, electronics phenomena, engineering concepts, principles, methodologies, practices and techniques in scientific or engineering disciplines.
- Knowledge of the fundamental, underlying physics to Radio Frequency (RF) systems, in regard to spectrum utilization, power, interference and interaction.
