About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Continuous Process Improvement Wing Process Manager (NH-0343-03) to work at the 412th Test Wing, Plans and Programs, (412 TW/XP) at Edwards Air Force Base, CA.
To serve as the 412th Test Wing Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Wing Process Manager, responsible for providing project leadership and technical support for the 412 TW CPI initiative. Conducts studies in project areas, using analytical tools such as benchmarking, Lean Six Sigma Systems, and various other methodologies under CPI to improve processes within the 412 TW. Provides guidance and instruction for an organized, structured, and robust Innovation program which supports improvements of all operations.

Major Duties:
- The incumbent serves as a 412 TW technical authority on Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), whom advises on CPI implementation and sustainment.
- On a continuous basis identifies and evaluates Wing CPI training requirements.
- Develops/maintains/publishes metrics for measuring effectiveness of CPI at the 412 TW and the implementation of the AF Inspection System.
- Responsible for analysis, facilitation, reporting, and providing recommendations for business process improvements, improving quality, reducing costs, and establishing appropriate process metrics and process controls for effective evaluation of implemented process improvements.
- Facilitates significant customer driven, results-oriented quality and process improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and/or various CPI strategies, as appropriate, within the 412 TW.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment approximately 10 days per year.
- Knowledge of and experience with continuous process improvement techniques such as LEAN, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and other accepted methods, as applied to areas relevant to 412 TW mission areas or processes.
- Knowledge related to Air Force operations, flight and ground test and evaluation processes, including planning, provisioning, executing, analyzing, and reporting.
- Ability to integrate and coordinate multiple and related missions, functions, subjects, issues, and situations across the installation to present and recommend solutions in a logical, cohesive format.
- Strong ability to plan, coordinate, team, maintain good working relationships, and communicate effectively with various technical and analytical disciplines, and with other Air Force, DoD, and domestic government agencies.
