The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory Aerospace Engineer (NH-0861-03) to work at the 96 Test Wing, Air Force SEEK EAGLE Office (AFSEO) at Eglin AFB in Valparaiso, FL.

Incentives:

This position has a typical 2024 salary range of $103,409 - $134,435 (includes locality).

Position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate:
- Master’s degree in an engineering discipline desired. To include engineering management or systems engineering.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships for success.
- We are looking for a candidate with proven problem-solving abilities, coupled with the proactive skill of anticipating and mitigating potential issues. The capacity to foresee problems and take preemptive measures is essential for success in this role, ensuring smooth operations and effective problem resolution.

Mission/Purpose:
We test and evaluate state-of-the-art weapon systems, provide quality installation and mission support, and serve as responsible stewards of our resources to deliver war-winning capabilities.

Major Duties:
- Plans, prioritizes, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Delivers presentations on program status to leadership and represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- Performs Professional aerospace engineering work.
- Manages the Civilian Recognition program.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- A professional engineering degree at the bachelor’s level from an ABET accredited institution in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- This position is subject to approximately 30 days of travel per year.
- This position has been designated as an Non-Critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The selectee must meet, or be capable of achieving the APDP certification as designated on the position description within the defined grace period for that certification level after assignment. This position also requires the employee to engage in acquisition continuous learning activities achieving 80 Continuous Learning points every 24 months.
- Knowledge of the theories, concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, and materials of professional aerospace engineering, and knowledge of other engineering disciplines to effectively apply engineering theories, principles, and concepts to areas of responsibility.
- Knowledge of the principles of planning, program management, and standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
