The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory General Engineer (NH-0801-04) to work at the Engineering & Technical Management Directorate (AFTC/EN) at Edwards AFB in Edwards, CA.

This position has a typical 2024 salary range of $142,094 - $191,900 (includes locality).

Position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate:
• Experience working in a functional office.
• Expertise in S&E hiring actions, processes and programs.
• Established relationships with other Command ENRs, AFMC, and the S&E CFT.
• Understands the importance of data in the workforce development arena.
• Understands and demonstrates an enterprise-minded approach to workforce development.

Mission/Purpose:
In this position you will exercise supervisory and managerial authorities over the AFTC Engineering Resource Management Division. You will be responsible for performing professional engineering and Center-level functional management in support of projects/programs/initiatives pertaining to science, engineering and technical management across the AF Test Enterprise. You will also be responsible for AFTC science and engineering workforce management and development, resource management, and advocate for science and engineering career fields across the Center and at HQ AFMC.

Major Duties:
• Serves as first level supervisor.
• Manages prioritization of AFTC workforce development efforts to include Force Development Programs, Civilian Development, Functional Awards, Succession Planning and workforce development data analytics.
• Guides the planning and execution of the directorate’s budget.
• Continue development of the ENR division to fully support the acquisition, training, and development of the S&E and T&E workforce.
• Build S&E hiring processes that support the Air Force diversity and inclusion goals.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• U.S. Citizenship
• Obtain & maintain Security clearance
• BS in engineering highly desired
• DAWIA Certification
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
• Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
