The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Temporary Laborer (WG-3502-02) to work at the 96th Test Wing at Eglin AFB in Valparaiso, FL.

Temp/Term Statement:
• This a temporary position NOT to exceed 30-SEP-2024.

This position has a typical 2024 salary range of $15.63/hr - $18.24/hr (includes locality).

Position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate:
• Ability to handle weight and lift loads.
• Ability to follow directions in a shop.
• Shop aptitude and interest.
• Dexterity and safety.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Ability to learn and strictly follow safety and security instructions.

Mission/Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is to perform manual labor tasks involving the use of common hand tools and simple power equipment which require little or no special skill, experience, or training and may involve a number of successive steps or processes.

Major Duties:
• Loads, unloads, moves, and stacks material such as heavy boxes and bulky items by hand, trucks, or dollies.
• Operates hand tools and simple power equipment.
• Performs a variety of manual tasks such as moving, arranging, collecting, and cleaning equipment and materials.
• Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit.
• Males must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide.
• This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
• Disclosure of Political Appointments.
• Category rating and selection procedures will be utilized.
• Security Clearance: must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate level security clearance as a condition of employment.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and simple power equipment such as handsaws, hatchets, clippers, hand lawnmowers, and walking-type power mowers.
• Knowledge of established safety standards and procedures.
• Skill in using hand tools such as handsaws, hatchets, clippers, and shovels; and operating simple power equipment such as walking-type power mowers.
