Upgrades bring the AEDC 16-foot supersonic wind tunnel nozzle back to life
A series of jacks, shown here Sept. 25, 2020, engage the plenum side of the nozzle for the Arnold Engineering Development Complex 16-foot supersonic tunnel at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn. Over 100 of these are independently driven by the new motors to work as a system to shape the desired nozzle contour. (U.S. Air Force photo by Deidre Moon)
