AF Test Center 2024 Civilian Employee Stay Survey: Your Voice, Our Future

The Air Force Test Center is committed to understanding and addressing the factors that influence our workforce’s satisfaction, development, and overall career experience. To build a supportive and engaging work environment, AFTC is excited to launch the 2024 Civilian Employee Stay Survey, a voluntary, and anonymous survey designed to capture your insights. The opportunity to complete the survey will be available through 18 December 24.

 Purpose of the Survey

The AFTC Stay Survey aims to gather candid feedback on why civilian employees choose to remain at AFTC and what might influence their decision to leave. Input received from employees, will directly shape AFTC human capital strategies to improve our work environment, reduce turnover, and develop effective recruitment, retention, and advancement initiatives. This survey reflects AFTC leadership’s dedication to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and supported across all sites.

Survey Categories

The survey covers six important areas:

Satisfaction: Understanding the general contentment within civilian employee role.

Career Intentions: Insights into future career goals and plans.

Influencing Factors: Identifying key factors impacting job satisfaction.

Training/Utilization: Assessing how well training supports civilian employee role and career growth.

Development: Exploring opportunities for professional development and growth.

Recognition: Gathering feedback on how achievements and contributions are acknowledged.

Each of these categories help to pinpoint areas for improvement and reinforces our commitment to support the personal career journey of our employees, across all AFTC locations.

“We are committed to understanding and supporting what matters to our workforce," said Sharon Johnson, AFTC Director of Personnel. "The feedback received from our Civilian workforce through the AFTC Stay Survey is invaluable as we work to generate ideas to enhance engagement, workforce development and a supportive environment for all our employees.”

Timeline and Participation

The survey was disseminated to all AFTC civilian employees the week of November 18, allowing ample time to complete before the survey which closes on December 18. It takes about 15 – 20 minutes, on average, to complete the survey.  Participation is voluntary, and the honest and constructive feedback is encouraged and appreciated.

Make Your Voice Heard

AFTC invites its civilian employees at all locations to share their experiences, ideas, and insights.  We are one enterprise team and together, we can make AFTC a stronger, more responsive organization in the era of Great Power Competition. Thank you for being an essential part of our team and for contributing to the ongoing success of the Air Force Test Center.
