A Journey of Resiliency: Edwards AFB team member accomplishes 1,500-mile solo kayak expedition

Madison Ecklund, 412th Force Support Squadron recreation assistant was 1 of 7 people in the world to successfully accomplish a 1,500-mile solo kayak expedition from Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, to York Factory, Manitoba, Canada. Eklund’s showcase of resiliency to complete a rare journey while giving back to the community is an example of the “Whole Airman” concept that embodies everyone within the Air Force Materiel Command and Air Force.
