About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a full-time NH-2210-02 to work at the 96th Communications Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
To serve as an Information Technology (IT) specialist responsible for base level administration, operation, and maintenance of the installation’s computer/telecommunications programs and networks providing technical assistance, training, and support to management and customers; also serves as an advisor to provide quality data and voice cabling and switching installation and management to all users and facilities (internal and external) throughout the installation.

Typical 2026 salary range: $40,736 - $97,087per year (includes Locality)

Desired Skills:
- Experience with voice networking systems, preferably Avaya Call Managers
- Experience with optical networking transport equipment
- 2 years customer service experience
Major Duties:
- Administers the base local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN)
- Monitors tests, analyzes, maintains, and operates multiple operating systems based
network platforms
- Assists in the planning, development, configuration, installation, and maintenance of
network systems to include LAN/WAN, VoIP, mission critical voice, data, and
switchboard, and circuitry services.
- Determines customer requirements and assists customers
- Reviews requests for communications services
- Provides customer technical assistance and support
- Identifies and analyzes network failures, and analyzes the data to determine trends
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain SECRET security clearance
- Obtain & maintain CompTIA Security+ certification
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Knowledge of a full range of network systems (LAN/WAN) design principles, methodologies, and approaches used in
developing, testing, installing, operating, managing, and maintaining network services that support functional requirements.
- Knowledge of the network architecture, topology, and protocols typically found at base and lower level organizations
- Knowledge of configuration management concepts and practices to develop and implement LANS and WANS.
- Knowledge of customer support principles sufficient to receive, respond to, and ensure complete resolution of problems
