About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-time Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist – Installation Deployment Officer (NH-0346-03) to work at the 96th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Deployment & Distribution Flight (LGRD) at Eglin Air Force Base, FL.

In this position, you will test and evaluate state-of-the-art weapon systems, provide quality installation and mission support, and serve as responsible stewards of our resources to deliver war-winning capabilities.


Location: Valparaiso, FL
Typical 2024 salary range: $86,962 - $134,435 (includes locality)
Telework Information: Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) prescribed "Unscheduled Telework"\
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible

Desired Skills:
- Effectively manage, implement deployment policy/programs/procedures for Installation Commander in support to mission essential operations including AFFORGEN operations. Review and modify deployment procedures. Train and ensure deploying units meet pre-execution and control requirements.
- Analyze TPFDD requirements to develop execution strategies/schedules. Plan and control movement of personnel/equipment during contingency movements. Execute deployments IAW prescribed policies/procedures and within predetermined timeframes to meet unit/AOR requirements for planning/execution.
- Review OPLANS, CONPLANS, CONOPS and other plans to determining overall installation taskings. Determine availability of tasked personnel/equipment for tasking. Manage home station WRM assets. Oversee/manage the BSP process. Develop Installation Deployment Plan. Oversee Installation Support Agreements processes.

Major Duties:
- Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the 96 LRS, ensuring that the installation Deployment Office with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customers needs.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
- Represents the 96 LRS with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
- May be required to fly in military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty (TDY) assignments.
- Knowledge and skill in the application of DoD, joint and AF Logistics readiness and contingency planning principles, concepts and directives as they pertain to deployment operations, war reserve material, base reception and support agreements.
- Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices and procedures.
- Ability to plan, organize and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized section.
