The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Logistics Management Specialist/Unit Deployment and Resource Manager (NH-0346-02) to work at the 412th Test Wing, 412th Operations Group, 412th Operations Support Squadron (412 OSS/CCQ) at Edwards AFB in Edwards, CA.

Incentives:

Telework Information:

Travel Requirements:

This position has a typical 2024 salary range of $46,020 - $109,673 (includes locality).

Position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate:
- 3+ years’ experience on a squadron level+ Commander’s Support Staff
- 3+ years military or civilian Air Force experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of the current USAF rank structure, organizational structure and mission
- 1-2 years’ experience with squadron level Unit Deployment Manager functions/Duties
- 1-2 years’ experience with Air Force deployment processes including applicable training requirements and capability to track same.
- 1-2 years’ experience or knowledge of AF Facility Manager duties/functions and capability to track work orders using Microsoft Office
- AA/AS/BA/BS in Business or Project/Program Management, desired

Mission/Purpose:
To serve as the primary Unit Deployment Manager for the 412th Operations Support Squadron. Ensures unit members remain at a high level of deployment readiness. Meets requirement by planning, directing, organizing, and evaluating members deployment and training readiness to meet mission objectives.

Major Duties:
- Serves as the unit deployment manager, planning and coordinating all 412th OSS deployment matters. Ensures squadron deployment readiness is reported in ART, SORTS, DRRS, DCAPES, LOGMOD, and other readiness databases keeping the commander and unit supervision informed of the readiness of unit personnel and equipment.
- Develops a comprehensive and effective unit deployment program to ensure current and future unit taskings can be filled.
- Ensures appropriate readiness training is provided to all squadron personnel in a timely manner.
- Serves as the organization's focal point for all actions concerning War Readiness and Disaster Preparedness Plans.
- As a member of the Commander's Support Staff (CSS), tracks and coordinates diverse administrative functions for both military and civilian members.
- Unit point of contact or alternate for Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT), unit security representative, Unit Control Center (UCC), unit health monitor, and building custodian duties.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance.
- Knowledge of a wide range of federal and agency logistics concepts, principles, practices, procedures, and regulations applicable to a full range of logistics management to include cargo and passenger movement, supply chain management, equipment management, deployment planning and operations, and logistic plans, under peacetime and wartime conditions to develop and recommend policies and procedures for the squadron.
- Knowledge of DOD, USAF, AFMC, and 412 TW training requirements, standards, and request methods to include tracking, monitoring current status and condition, corrective actions, reporting requirements.
