The Air Force Test Center is looking for a full-time Administrative Support Specialist, NH-0301-02 to work at the 412 Test Wing, Air Force Flight Test Museum (412TW/MU) at Edwards AFB, in Edwards, California.

This position has a typical 2024 salary range of $46,020 - $109,673 (includes locality).

To serve as the Air Force Flight Test Museum Administrative Support Specialist, by supporting the success of Museum operations and fulfilling various levels of Museum administrative obligations.

Major Duties
- Serves as the Air Force Flight Test (AFFT) Museum Administrative Support Specialist by planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of all administrative actions within the Air Force Flight Test Museum.
- Answers incoming telephone calls politely/professionally/respectfully, and forwards to proper the Museum staff member or applicable on-base work center if outside the Museum, and documents message and forwards via electronic/written message. Greets and receives walk-in visitors politely/professionally/respectfully, assist and answer visitor's questions or refer to Museum Director/Curator.
- Coordinates all incoming tours including school tours.
- Provides staff with direction and advice regarding policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Manages daily Museum administration, functions, and operations.
- Responsible for the Headquarters Air Force (HAF) and Inspector General (IG) Self-Assessment Program (SAP) when and where applicable,
- Plans and analyzes the Flight Test Museum's operating budget and expenditures for preparation of museums annual operating budget.

- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance.
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Must be able to clearly and skillfully communicate up and down the local AF, HAF, DoD, and inter-agency chains of command to represent the AFFT Museum as an asset and in a positive light.
- Must be able to clearly document daily events as they occur and generate and maintain records for future required reference.
- Must be able to work with, and facilitate, visits/visitors from all levels.
- Must have the foresight to anticipate the needs demographics of each visiting group to better facilitate their visit, sending them away with a pleasant and memorable experience of their visit to Edwards AFB and the AFFT Museum and a better understanding of the significance of Edwards AFB in military, commercial, and general aviation history.
- Must be well organized in all aspects of Air Force Field Museum activities/operations
