The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Acquisition Program Manager (GS-1101-12) to work at the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), 704th Test Group, 704th Test Support Squadron, Test Group Support Operations (704TSS/TGSO) at Holloman AFB in Alamogordo NM.

This position has a typical 2023 salary range of $86,962 - $113,047 (includes locality).

This position will serve as an acquisition program manager for the 704 Test Support Squadron and is responsible for developing, establishing, implementing, and controlling contractual, financial, and technical aspects of a project/program through designated phases of the acquisition cycle.
Major Duties
- Plan, organize, and coordinate activities of functional specialists including contracting, engineering, manufacturing, program control, configuration/data management, test and logistics.
- Review and direct the progress of contractors in meeting program objectives.
- Prepare and present staff studies for presentation to the Program Director and other management officials.
- Assess progress in assigned acquisition projects/programs that may include evaluating requirements, conducting market research, preparing cost estimates, etc. in preparation for service or commodity procurements
Qualifications/Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance (if applicable)
- DAWIA PM Practitioner Certification required within four years of on boarding
- File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450
- Knowledge of laws, principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management.
- Knowledge of business, industrial management, contracting procedures, technical concepts, and production practices to evaluate contractor proposals and activities.
- Knowledge of one or more automated databases associated with standardizing data such as requirements, procedures, projects, and documentation.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.
