EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.  This year’s theme is “Step Forward.  Report.  Advocate.”

The Air Force’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program’s goal is to eliminate sexual assault from the Air Force.

“Our goal through every SAAPM event this month is to engage with the Eglin community so people know we are here for survivors to help them on their road to recovery, said Capt. Riley Vaught, deputy Sexual Assault Response Coordinator.  “We all have a moral duty to protect each other, and it takes all of us to raise awareness and shift the culture to create an environment that makes sexual assault less likely to happen.”

The SAPR office offers non-confidential and confidential reporting through unrestricted and restricted reporting options.  The office also offers a multitude of services to military members and their dependents over the age of 18, and to civilians.
