About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time General Engineer (NH-0801-03) to work at the 96th Range Group, Test Systems Squadron (96 TSSQ) at Eglin Air Force Base, FL.

96TH TEST WING MISSION: We test and evaluate state-of-the-art weapon systems and cyberspace capabilities, provide quality installation and mission support, and serve as responsible stewards of our resources to deliver war-winning capabilities.

Location: Valparaiso, FL
Typical 2024 salary range: $86,962 - $134,435 (includes locality)
Telework Information: Up to 60% telework possible (must reside in local area)
Travel Requirements: Up to 50% travel possible

Desired Skills:
- 2 years of test program lead experience desired

Major Duties:
- Coordinates the various phases of work with other functional disciplines and interprets/translates engineering requirements into design characteristics and criteria.
- Prepares, reviews, and updates required program documentation.
- Delivers presentations on program status to leadership, including, accomplishments, solutions, and future requirements for support
- Establishes and maintains positive, effective relationships with peers, staff, functional managers, and contractors. Actively participates as a member or leader in team and group efforts in support of assigned systems and programs.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- A professional engineering degree at the bachelor’s level from an ABET-accredited institution.
- This position has been designated as a Non-Critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The selectee must meet or be capable of achieving the Test & Evaluation (T&E) Practitioner Level APDP certification within the defined grace period for that certification level after assignment. This position also requires the employee to engage in acquisition continuous learning activities achieving 80 Continuous Learning points every 24 months.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- The work requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance as a condition of employment.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours.
