The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Lead Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) (NH-2210-03) to work at the 412th Test Wing, 412th Mission Support Group, 412th Communications Squadron (412 CS/SCXS) at Edwards AFB in Edwards, CA.

Position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate:
- 2 years of experience in cybersecurity desired
- 2 years of software approval desired
- 2 years of Risk Management Framework experience desired

Mission/Purpose:
Serves as the lead for the Wing Assessment and Authorization (A&A) section. Provides supervision and oversight of the installation A&A program which includes: the Air Force Assessment and Authorization (A&A) program (formerly known as Certification and Accreditation (C&A), currently utilizing the Air force risk Management Framework (RMF) process. Enforces federal, DoD and Air force cybersecurity laws, regulations and directives. Additionally, as needed leads effort in the and Computer Security (COMPUSEC), TEMPEST (formerly Emissions Security (EMSEC)) and Operations Security programs.

Major Duties:
- Serves as the Lead of the Wing A&A and COMPUSEC section. Applies Information Technology (IT) security principles, methods, and security products to protect and maintain the availability, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability of information system resources and information processed throughout the system's life cycle.
- Establishes and publishes base-wide policy to manage the various aspects of the COMPUSEC program and provides guidance in its implementation and in procedures used in the development and operation of the various existing and emerging COMPUSEC program's policies and directives.
- Serves as an ISSM for IT systems as directed Validates threats and vulnerabilities to the information systems to ensure the appropriate level of protection.
- Provides oversight, guidance, and direction to ensure the wing COMPUSEC, TEMPEST, and A&A programs are thorough and effective.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Obtain & maintain TOP SECRET clearance (if applicable).
- The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Overtime and/or emergency overtime may be required.
- Information Assurance Manager Level II (1AM Level II} certification is a condition of employment. This position is a has cybersecurity work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570,01-M, C3.2.4.3. Failure to achieve and maintain the proper IA. certification may result in removal from this position, this position requires the incumbent be certified at the Information Assurance Manager (1AM) level 2 per AFI 17-1303, 3.2.13.1. This position requires the incumbent to receive and maintain a Secret clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to attain and maintain required clearance may result in removal from this position.
- Knowledge of a full range of IT security principles, concepts, practices, products, services, and methods for evaluating risks and vulnerabilities, as well as implementing mitigating improvement, and disseminating IT security tools and procedures.
- Knowledge of IT security requirements for assessment and authorization (A&A) of information systems and networks, network operations and protocols, systems testing and evaluation, and performance management methods sufficient to plan and conduct security accreditation reviews.
- Knowledge of Wide Area Network and local Area Network security requirements, techniques, tactics, and procedures for protecting computer systems from viruses, data tampering, and unauthorized system entry.
- Knowledge of a broad range of communications concepts and principles, operating modes, systems, media, equipment, equipment configuration, and related software systems, processes and procedures to assess and advise on vulnerability to attack from a variety of sources {e.g., espionage, disruption of services, destructive programs/applications) and procedures and methods for protection of systems and applications.
- Ability to analyze assessment and vulnerability findings and develop mitigation recommendations to alleviate IT security risks through the implementation of corrective actions.
