The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant (NK-0303-02) to work at the 412th Maintenance Group, 412th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron/T-38 Aircraft Maintenance Unit (412 AMXS/MXAC) at Edwards AFB in Edwards, CA.

This position has a typical 2024 salary range of $46,020 - $74,110 (includes locality).

Position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate:
- 1 year of experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook desired
- 1 year of experience with managing Workflows/Suspenses desired
- 1 year of experience with payroll systems and travel orders desired

The 412th Maintenance Group (MXG) is responsible to 412th Test Wing (TW) Commander for establishing/evaluating logistics test requirements for all new/or modified weapons systems/subsystems assigned. MXG provides aircraft maintenance, logistics, manufacturing & modification support to test & evaluation programs. Position has the primary function of Administrative Support.

Major Duties:
- Administrative duties associated with various programs (performance reports, awards, decorations, time accounting, leave, civilian or military pay, training, travel and travel card, supply, and other administrative duties as assigned
- Use of computerized databases for preparation of specific reports for management
- Manages suspense dates utilizing workflow and developed suspense systems; follows up to ensure actions and responses are made within deadlines
- Administrative support to squadron, division, branch or flight staff; prepares correspondence and maintains files; reviews all reports and correspondence for correctness of format; prepares TDY orders and makes travel arrangements for unit staff

- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance (if applicable)
- Knowledge of computer systems and other automated data processing equipment or systems to provide a wide range of documents to enhance productivity and to update new and existing databases or spreadsheets.
- Ability to interpret and analyze various documents on civilian personnel to include timecards, forecasting pay and leave matters, promotions, assignments and the processes involved
- Ability to plan and organize work, to meet deadlines and to communicate both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling are required to prepare letters, guidance, and policy correspondence within the organization and of the proper methods of handling, storing or dispensing sensitive information.
