The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory Military and Family Readiness Specialist (NH-0101-03) to work at the 412th Test Wing, 412th Mission Support Group, 412th Force Support Squadron, Military and Family Readiness Center (FSS/FSH) at Edwards Air Force Base in Edwards, CA.

Incentives:

This position has a typical 2024 salary range of $101,121 - $156,323 (includes locality).

Position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate:
- Prior Military & Family Readiness experience desired.

Mission/Purpose:
Provides installation and mission support and serves as a responsible steward of resources to deliver war-winning capabilities. To exercise supervisory and management authority over the Military & Family Readiness Center assigned. Serves as a consultant to leadership on matters related to personal and family readiness. Provides a wide range of work-life services on individual, family, and community issues to develop resilient, ready Airmen. Services include, but are not limited to, development support, crisis/disaster/assistance, family life education and other services and activities provided to military members, retirees, DoD civilians and their families.

Major Duties:
- Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Military & Family Readiness Flight by developing goals and objectives that integrate organizations and Military & Family Readiness Flight objectives to build and enhance instillation unit and family readiness through center-based, unit-based and community outreach delivery.
- Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with other base organizations, senior leadership, squadron commanders, and representatives from other military services, Department of Defense agencies, and related civilian organizations.
- Administers and ensures Family Support Program community needs for eligible personnel and their families, including those located at geographically separated units.
- Establishes, revises, or reviews polices, procedures, mission objectives, and organization of the staff as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to support mission accomplishment.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
- or
- Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
- or
- Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
- Professional knowledge of concepts, principles, theories, and practices relating to social or behavioral science
- Knowledge of financial, budget, resource management practices and principles, and analytical and evaluative methods and techniques
- Skills in effectively organizing and utilizing community resources within the program framework to augment the program and meet installation objectives
